A buyer’s fee of 22.5% plus a fixed charge of 40 SEK (including VAT) is added to the final hammer price of each item. For example, if the hammer price is 1,000 SEK, the total cost will be 1,265 SEK.
Purchased items must be paid for and collected within seven days. If payment is not received by the invoice due date, a reminder fee of 50 SEK per overdue invoice will be applied.
If payment has not been received within 14 days, your account may be suspended, and Ystads Auktioner reserves the right to cancel the purchase and resell the item.
Purchased items must be collected within seven days from the end of the auction. For uncollected items, Ystads Auktioner reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of 100 SEK and a storage fee of 30 SEK per item per day.
We are a cash-free business and accept online payments via bank transfer and card payments on-site. You may also use services such as Paypal, Wise or Revolut to transfer the money. Please note that we cannot release any items until the payment has been registered. Bankgiro payments may take up to two or three business days to process.
We ship within and outside of Sweden. To book shipping after an auction ends, please email frakt@ystadsauktioner.se and provide your customer number and other relevant information. We package items carefully, but the transporter and the customer should primarily resolve the issue in the event of transport damage. Please also let us know if you want your item shipped with insurance.
For transporting large, fragile items and/or furniture, we refer you to Rickard at Auto A Express, which operates within Skåne, Copenhagen, Gothenburg, and Stockholm. He can be reached at 070-391 16 00, or you may use a transporter of your choice.
All items are sold as-is, meaning they are sold in their current condition. The buyer must thoroughly examine the item to their complete satisfaction before bidding. Please feel free to contact us if you'd like to receive a condition report outside of the one provided in the description. Ystads Auktioner does not guarantee the functionality of electronic or mechanical items.
Any complaint regarding an item must be made no later than 14 days after the item has been collected. If an item is returned, it must be in the same condition as when it was handed over. Ystads Auktioner does not cover any costs incurred with the return of an item due to a complaint or the right of withdrawal.
Under the Swedish Distance Selling Act (Distansavtalslagen), buyers can withdraw when purchasing via online auctions. However, this does not apply to businesses. The right of withdrawal must be claimed within 14 days from the date the buyer takes possession of the item personally or via an agent but no later than 25 days after the auction ends. To invoke the right of withdrawal, the buyer must contact us in writing at info@ystadsauktioner.se.
If an item has been shipped and the buyer invokes the right of withdrawal, the buyer is responsible for the return shipping costs. The item must be returned in the same condition as when purchased within seven (7) days of invoking the right of withdrawal. If this condition is not met, Ystads Auktioner reserves the right to deny the withdrawal request.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal apply to items made of gold, silver, and other precious metals, as their market prices may fluctuate. Additionally, the right of withdrawal does not apply to bulk sales where individual items cannot be distinguished from photos, such as stamp albums, coin collections, or mixed auction lots.
If the right of withdrawal is misused, such as to avoid honouring placed bids, Ystads Auktioner reserves the right to suspend the buyer indefinitely without prior notice.
A resale royalty fee may apply to artworks following the Swedish Copyright Act. No fee is charged if the artist has been deceased for over 70 years or if the hammer price is below 2940 SEK (as of 2025).
The resale royalty fee is calculated on a sliding scale, with a decreasing percentage from 5% down to 0.25%, depending on the final sale price.
If a resale royalty fee applies, the amount is paid to the artist during their lifetime and thereafter to their heirs. The purpose of the resale royalty is to ensure that artists and their heirs benefit from any increase in the value of the artwork after its initial sale.
